expanding awareness

every decision has ripple effects into other pieces of who you are and who you are being. every decision has ripple effects into other areas of your life.

with this decision, am i being who i want to be? am i doing what i want to do? am i experiencing what i want to experience? when creating the life that i want, the decisions that i make are not always about one thing but about the whole. what is it that i want? what is my awareness?

the experiences of life create growth or can stop it. is this experience something that is going to expand my knowledge, my ideas, my awareness, the dreams and desires that i have; and help me to become aware and grow into who i want to be, what i want to do and what i want to experience?

some decisions and experiences are clear in knowing they are supporting your being. some decisions and experiences are to expand your awareness and give direction to where you want to grow.

when you are trying new things and expanding your boundaries, it is uncomfortable to become the person you want to be if you are changing some deep beliefs and ideas on how you think you should be or how you think “life” should be. are these beliefs and ideas yours or are they from someone else, is it your belief? are these beliefs and ideas from a past experience that is no longer relevant to you now? are you choosing an experience for yourself, for pleasing somebody else or from habit?

uncomfortable decisions are a good part of life, they are decisions that support your growth, awareness and expansion being who you want to be and doing what you want to do. that is why an awareness of your being, who you want to be, what you want to do and experience and what is most important to you is important. with your awareness you can make decisions for what is most important to you to support who you want to be and do or for expanding your awareness more through new experiences.

is who i am being in this experience who i want to be tomorrow or helping me to experience new ideas for who i want to be and what i want to do? if i choose this experience, is it for this now moment or is it for creating the life that i want to live through growth?

when you are making decisions are you making the decision for what’s important to you? are you making the decision for what you want? are you making the decision for the person you want to be? are you making the decision to experience new ideas for new knowledge, new awareness and growth?

say no

am i saying ‘no’ when i need to and want to?

i’m not saying ‘no’ as often as i want. maybe i’m not saying ‘no’ to some of the small things. some small things won’t matter because the outcome and effect too is small. some small things will matter if they are repeated. the outcome will change from what i want. the effect of not saying ‘no’ to the small thing over and over again will have a big effect.

saying ‘yes’ to the small thing becomes a habit resulting in saying ‘no’ to the outcome that i want. repeated again and again they can build up and become negative. repeated again and again saying ‘yes’ to the small thing will not get me to the goal i want and the life that i want to create.

what am i saying ‘yes’ to? what am i then saying ‘no’ to at the same time? a ‘yes’ for a thing, is a ‘no’ for another thing. which is the one i truly want?

curiosity

are you curious about life? are you curious about YOUR life?

curiosity is a way to stay connected to the important people in your life as well as being aware of what’s most important to you in the present.

  • who do you want to be?
  • what do you want to do?
  • what do you want to experience?
  • what’s your favorite thing to do currently?
  • what’s something new that you want to try?

as we live and experience life we are continually growing and expanding. who we want to be, what we want to do and what we want to experience changes with our experiences.

being curious allows us to open to new awareness to connect with what is most important to us now. thinking about and connecting to what we want, we continue growing and expanding instead of slowing down or stopping altogether.

it is normal in life to come to a plateau, it is when we reach a plateau in an area of our life that we can bring curiosity in and explore what we now want.

are there plateaus in your life currently? is there an area of your life that you are feeling stuck or ‘out of sorts’ with?

get curious, ask yourself some questions about all of life or a certain area of your life:

  • what makes me happy?
  • who do i want to be?
  • what do i want to do and experience?

judging and awareness

i like to be aware, and i like to be grateful.

so often i find myself judging and comparing myself. i need to do this, i need to do that, i’m not doing a good enough job at this, and i need to start doing this because this isn’t…

i am getting better and better at being grateful for the awareness that judging and comparing of myself brings. in my awareness i choose to turn the judging and comparing to gratitude for knowing what i want.

i am grateful for knowing where i am and where i want to go. i am grateful for knowing what i want to learn, what i want to teach, what i want to empower.

i am grateful for knowing who i want to be, what i want to do, what i want to experience and the life that i want to create and live!

act as if

I have so much that I want to be and do.

I am happy and grateful for who I am now, what I’m doing now and what I’m experiencing and have experienced. it is fulfilling when I take a moment to reflect on where I was and where I am now.

however… I have so much more that I want to  be, do and experience!

we are continually growing in an upward spiraling growth. growing and expanding.

you grow, you create new expanded goals and visions, you grow more. you expand. you become! who you want to be, what you want to do, what you want to experience, and how you want to live!

going around in circles

Values are the foundation for living happy successful lives.

You deserve happiness, abundance and health. The key to your happiness is you. When you know your values, and live your life by your values, you are a happier and healthier person. Often people live their lives without knowing their values and they make decisions based on other people’s expectations. When people make decisions this way they aren’t living the life they are meant to live! They are unhappy and live a life of lack, of wanting more in one or more areas of their lives.

I used to live my life without knowing my values. I wasn’t living my truth. I wasn’t being the me that I wanted to be, I wasn’t doing what I wanted to do, and I wasn’t living how I wanted to live.

Have you ever been in a canoe on a windy day, and paddling just didn’t seem to get you anywhere? I’ve been in a canoe on a windy day, and my paddling wasn’t getting me anywhere. The canoe would go this way and that way. I was facing the wrong direction. I tried to correct my direction by turning the canoe. I was going in a new direction but it still wasn’t the direction that I wanted to go. I was going around in circles and not getting anywhere.

This is how my life felt when I wasn’t living by my values. I made decisions based on what was expected of me, or what I thought was expected of me. I didn’t have my values clearly defined and written down. I didn’t have significant goals for myself in all areas of my life.

It was like the canoe going in all different directions but the direction that I wanted it to. I was going around in circles in my life.

When I was in the canoe on that windy day, it was a challenge for me to get the canoe going in the right direction without making some major changes. I had to trim the canoe, to find a better balance from where to paddle. I turned myself around in the canoe so that I paddled backward to move forward. After struggling, I found my balance and was able to move in the direction that I wanted to more easily and steadily.

My balance was off in my life as well. I was unhappy and unhealthy.

I gradually realized that I wasn’t living by my values, and what my values meant to me. I read a book, ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ by Stephen Covey. I clarified my values, I wrote my values down along with what the value meant to me. I set significant goals in all areas of my life.

I found my balance and started growing in the direction that I wanted to go. I started being who I wanted to be, doing what I wanted to do and living how I wanted to live!

I took responsibility for my life. I am happy and harmonious with my mind at peace with my heart.

Values are a belief that is meaningful to you. Values are priorities that tell you how to spend your time, right here, right now. Stephen Covey says, “(values) are the source of our passions in life, and they help us determine where we focus our energies.”

When you know your values and what they mean to you; creating goals and making decisions are easier. Your values are your guidance system.

And like finding the balance in a canoe on a windy day, knowing your values is like finding your balance for your life. You choose to live by your values, and living by your values creates your happy and harmonious life.

what do you really want?

have you ever been frustrated because a situation was not going how you want it to go?

you know, you are with a group of people, and it’s just not going the way that you want it to go. i mean, everybody should know that it’s supposed to happen exactly in this one way, your way. how could there be any other way than the way that you want it? and your just getting annoyed and frustrated because it’s not what you want. people aren’t acting according to what you want!

i have these moments. oh boy, i can get so frustrated that my body is tight and tense and i just want to scream and make it happen my way, and there just isn’t any way for me to do that!

I have learned, by some wonderful grace, to step back and look at the bigger picture. i will ask myself, “what do i really want?”

i am able to realize that the situation that i am trying to control is a small piece of the whole adventure of life, and although it may be something that should get done, in the whole picture of life – it’s not what’s most important!

my shoulders relax, my breathe deepens, and i am open to gratitude! i become grateful for this moment, in this moment i am connected to what i want, and what i want is to enjoy my life journey filled with amazing deep rich relationships. and that is what’s happening!

good failure

i am determined to learn and grow from my failures.

failure if you allow it is a teacher. a stepping stone along your journey.

failure if you allow it gives new energy and enthusiasm to create what you want. it gives renewed determination and a burning desire to succeed!

I will be using my recent failures to build a stronger foundation.

experiencing life fully means taking risk. stepping out of your comfort zone and allowing yourself the opportunity to fail.

failures are a good teacher. failures are a good motivator. without failure, life journeys would not be as exciting.

take the risk! failing is not failing, failing is an exciting step of growth along your journey!

present moment awareness

i like to be aware and connected to my visions for my dreams and desires, my visions for my life goals. i like to take time and imagine being who i want to be, doing what i want to do, experiencing what i want to experience and creating the life that i want to live.

when i am connected to my visions i am able to live in present moment awareness with positive high energy, being and doing what is most important to me. when i am connected to my visions i am able to feel gratitude for my being and living.

i am able to make decisions that are positive feeling, decisions to be and do what is most important to me in the NOW moment. what i choose to be and choose to do in the NOW moment does not always give me instant gratification, but the being and doing is gratitude because i am feeling positive high energy for my choices and the being and doing that i’m doing.

i am feeling gratitude in the NOW moment because of the experiences i have had that guided me and empowered me to be being who i am and doing what i want in the NOW moment. i am feeling gratitude for the NOW moment of experiencing and creating the life that i want to live, being and becoming more of who i want to be, and doing and experiencing more of what i want to do.

there are some areas of my life that my thoughts wander to negative feelings of doubt, worry, anxiousness, stress or overwhelm and it takes an awareness to guide my mind to positive feelings, connecting to what i want and feeling the positive energy flow through me. to be in the present moment i do not worry about the how, i think about the why and how i want to feel. when i am connected to how i want to feel and the visions of my dreams and desires i am able to be who i want to be and do what i want to do. i am able to make choices that are positive and in alignment with what’s most important to me.

there is so much that i want to be, that i want to do and that i want to experience. i am connecting to what i want instead of any worries or doubts. when something triggers negative emotions i guide my mind to think about what i really want and connect to the way i want to feel living and experiencing that want. i think about the vision of who i want to be, what i want to do, and what i want to experience and imagine living that NOW!
