letting go

i love summer and seeing the trees full of their leaves. i like to watch the leaves shining, shimmering as they dance and reflect the sun. i too love the pieces of me, dancing and moving together reflecting the different pieces of me and who i am.

i am not always happy to see the leaves falling, and i resist the thought of summer and fall passing into winter. what am i resisting in my life? what pieces of me am i holding onto that i need to let go to allow for growth?

why do i resist? the trees don’t resist the letting go of their leaves. it is nature. it is natural. it is intended for growth to let go and allow for change.

what do i need to let go? the change of seasons indicates that letting go for being and new growth is needed. i need change for my being and growth too.

it’s not easy to let go some pieces of you, even the pieces you don’t want, they are connected to you, a part of you. i have experienced, letting go allows for growth.

and so i do so again. this time, not so graciously, i put up a fight. i kicked and screamed. i allowed myself to do the kicking and the screaming, i allowed all that energy to flow through me. and when i was done, i let it go.

i let it leave me, i decided that i could feel it and that i didn’t have to hold onto it.

right away i felt lighter. right away i felt freer. right away i felt new positive energy coming in to create and grow in the direction that i want to go.

i was being truer to myself and allowing more of me to be who i want to be, allowing more of me to do what i want to do, and allowing more of me to experience what i want to experience.

it’s interesting to me that as the trees have lost their leaves, i too have lost some pieces of me. i let go what needed to be let go to allow for my being and growth. i let go what i needed to let go to live my truth.

wanting change

i’m not happy with an experience in my journey right now, i want it to change. it is not a change that can be done quickly, it will affect many other areas of my life. i am easily overwhelmed and stressed by small triggers and need to make the change as soon as possible.

i find myself getting overtaken and lost in feelings of worry and doubt, fear of not… not finding the change i need, not acting quickly enough, not making the right choice, not living my truth.

i am so happy and grateful for many things in areas of my life that i want to change, but so often i get caught up and swept away in the wanting of change, wanting something more that i don’t have.

and i wonder if i focused on being grateful for what was good in that area of my life, what then would i create? and how much faster could i create it?

letting go of the worry, doubt and fear. letting go the overwhelm and feeling lack.

allowing gratitude to fill me. gratitude for what is good in this part of my journey. gratitude for what i am learning and experiencing. gratitude for the challenge. gratitude for the growth. gratitude for all the pieces that were (and are) good in this piece of me that it is now time for me to change.

one of my phrases during a major life change that was challenging was, ‘it’s good it’s going’.

the changes in life throughout life may be good positive changes for us – that does not mean that they are easy to experience.

we need to know how to deal with and manage; doubt, fear, anxiety, high stress levels, and worry.

knowing what we are passionate about or what’s most important to us, and having goals or visions for our passions and what we want gives us a vision. so that we can move towards the vision; giving us positive energy as we move towards what is most important to us.

habits

I want to create change and growth in my life. To create the change and growth I want to be more disciplined in some areas of my life. I know that what I need to do is create habits to be part of my routines to support the changes that I want.

One of the disciplines, a habit that I want part of my daily routines is reading my affirmations and connecting to the visions I have for the life that I want to live.

This habit is one that I have had in the past and slowly it became less and less a daily habit.

I didn’t notice myself missing this habit right away, then I started wondering about some of the challenges that I started experiencing in my life and I realized that when I was reading my affirmations in my morning routine my days were more positive. My days were more directed by what I want to be, what I want to do and what I want to experience. My days would have a sense of urgency, but not overwhelm.

With the challenges I was experiencing in my life many of my days I was feeling overwhelmed and stressed, rather than positive and purpose filled.

play with life

It’s time for me to play with life.

I want changes. I want more things and I want new things. These things are not going to happen for me if I don’t make changes to allow for the new things to come into my life.

So it’s time for me to play with life. To play with my habits and routines so that I can add new habits and routines that will attract the new things that I want into my life.

I know my most productive time for creating is mornings and I want to be doing more creating than I currently am, so I’m going to play with doing some of my current morning routines later in the day and see where they could fit and allow more morning creative time for myself.

Some of the changes I want to play with will also be good for other things that I also want in my life. Being more physically active with my family and other activities that I can enjoy with my family rather than by myself.

I also like to play with life so that I don’t get stuck in being too comfortable and then resist change in my life.

Change is growth and expansion, and I like to be continually growing and expanding.

challenges

I am grateful for challenges in my life. I know that challenges are growth, that when I have challenges in my life I am becoming more, becoming better and/or getting ready for quantum growth and transformation.

When I’m in the middle of a challenge I’m not always able to be aware of the growth, or aware that I am getting better from the experience.

I can be overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, worried about a challenge in my life and when I am feeling any negative emotions I’m not as easily able to create what it is that I want.

I find that when I’m feeling the negative emotions I’m usually expecting a result that I don’t want, I’m thinking of a negative outcome rather than the positive outcome that I truly want. Sometimes it’s because I’m getting caught up in what the challenge is and not allowing myself to connect to the whole of life. Sometimes it’s because of an old paradigm that I still have. Sometimes it’s because I’ve gotten comfortable in an area of my life and haven’t thought about what it is that I actually want. Sometimes it’s because I’m in an area of my life that is part of my journey that I didn’t know I would experience and so I haven’t thought about what it is that I want.

My thoughts then are expecting negative, expecting what I don’t want. I am so happy and grateful when I am able to realize that I’m expecting something that I don’t want, because then I can change my thoughts and start expecting something that I do want.

It’s not always an easy shift depending on what’s causing the negative expectation, but being aware and being able to start changing my thoughts to what I do want to expect is how I like to live.

you are – I am

it’s amazing how much you can learn about yourself when you’re thinking about someone else qualities and characteristics. what quirks that they have, what their natural behaviors are. what habits they have.

i have studied a person because there is a quality that they have, and I want to grow and expand the same quality in myself. what else are they doing in the same moment they are displaying the quality? are they responding to someone or a situation? what energy are they sending out?

i have also seen qualities in people that i don’t like. sometimes those qualities and behaviors jump out at you in a situation and can’t get it out of your mind. these are qualities to study and learn from too. ask yourself the same questions, and then follow up asking the same questions about you and the quality or behavior you don’t like.

so many times the irritating qualities that i have seen in others are irritating to me because it is a characteristic of myself that I don’t like and want to change or eliminate. it can be easier to identify negative characteristics in others before being able to identify them in our own self.

studying people with qualities and characteristics we like, we learn what we can do to expand and grow. learning about the qualities and characteristics we don’t like, we learn to identify what we can do to change those same qualities and characteristics in ourselves to a positive quality or characteristic.

studying positive qualities and characteristics and growing and expanding a positive quality we be who we want to be. learning about a negative quality or characteristic and changing what we don’t like in our behaviors allows us to grow and expand to be who we want to be.

What is most important to you?

Family, being outside, enjoying your hobby, health, exercise and nutrition, wealth, abundance, freedom, giving, making a difference?

Why is what you chose most important to you? What do you want to feel having and/or enjoying what is most important to you?

I have been asking myself these questions as I feel change coming towards me in my life. I don’t know what or how the change is going to be, how big a change it will be, but I feel it. There are things that I am unsatisfied with, and for me to continue living my truth, I need to be sure that I am doing what is most important to me.

We are growing and changing all the time, every day, every moment. Are you allowing the flow of growth and change, or are you fighting and blocking it? I ask myself this, when I ask myself, “Am I doing what’s most important to me?”

I’m doing a lot of what’s important to me, I am enjoying many pieces of my life, but there is more for me to enjoy. There is more that I want to do, more that I want to be, and more that I want to experience so that I am doing what is most important to me now.

And so I ask myself, “What can I do to enjoy what is most important to me?” And, “Who can I be so that I am doing what is most important to me?”

“We are always becoming, we are always creating. Today I am more than I was yesterday, tomorrow I am more than I am today.”
