how old are you?

did i just make you cringe? what feelings do you have when you are asked how old you are? many people wonder why someone wants to know, thoughts of what are they going to tell me to be aware of or watch out for. many of us start thinking about what we are supposed to expect at a coming age, what dire changes are up ahead?

do you have expectations for different ages? did you, do you, look forward to certain things happening at each age? 

does any of what you expect seem like fun to you? it seems to me that aging has a negative feeling connected to it, people don’t want to get older or admit how old they are because there are more negative associations with aging than positive.

does your age in years define any part of your life? do you let age determine what you can and can’t do? or what you decide to do or not do? why?

i don’t believe any of it. why should age influence what you want? age doesn’t define you. why not go for what you want no matter what your age. experiences are more to living than age, so let your age beliefs go and focus on experiences.

as i “age” my experiences are expanding and i’m becoming more wise and free from judgement. i’m learning more about who i am, what i like, what i want to enjoy and bring into my life. i look forward to many activities and experiences.

and i’ll let you in on a little secret, age doesn’t have anything to do with what we can and can’t do! yes, as we age, we definitely change, but i believe more of our age beliefs are in our head and not in our body and mind.

if you want to do something, and you are in a body and mind that can do it, do it! go out and enjoy it! be the “old” man swimming in a speedo, or the “old” woman running a 10K in a sports bra.

write the book that’s been on your mind, try the new activity you see so many “young” people enjoying, start something you always dreamed of doing.

you are wiser and your past experiences bring more to the new experiences that you enjoy. live life and keep growing and expanding, not letting age hold you back keeps you young, and is expanding your life for each experience.

now’s your time! if you feel it, do! you are never to old to keep enjoying many different experiences, both old and new to you. what i want for you, is for you to add some new experiences into your life!

expand and grow, always, until the end of this life experience!

i love sitting on my steps and seeing green! trees and green beyond. sunshine shining, reflecting, dancing, shimmering and glittering on the leaves. listening to twittering birds and insects hums. i love nature and sitting outside and getting immersed in it.

expanding awareness

every decision has ripple effects into other pieces of who you are and who you are being. every decision has ripple effects into other areas of your life.

with this decision, am i being who i want to be? am i doing what i want to do? am i experiencing what i want to experience? when creating the life that i want, the decisions that i make are not always about one thing but about the whole. what is it that i want? what is my awareness?

the experiences of life create growth or can stop it. is this experience something that is going to expand my knowledge, my ideas, my awareness, the dreams and desires that i have; and help me to become aware and grow into who i want to be, what i want to do and what i want to experience?

some decisions and experiences are clear in knowing they are supporting your being. some decisions and experiences are to expand your awareness and give direction to where you want to grow.

when you are trying new things and expanding your boundaries, it is uncomfortable to become the person you want to be if you are changing some deep beliefs and ideas on how you think you should be or how you think “life” should be. are these beliefs and ideas yours or are they from someone else, is it your belief? are these beliefs and ideas from a past experience that is no longer relevant to you now? are you choosing an experience for yourself, for pleasing somebody else or from habit?

uncomfortable decisions are a good part of life, they are decisions that support your growth, awareness and expansion being who you want to be and doing what you want to do. that is why an awareness of your being, who you want to be, what you want to do and experience and what is most important to you is important. with your awareness you can make decisions for what is most important to you to support who you want to be and do or for expanding your awareness more through new experiences.

is who i am being in this experience who i want to be tomorrow or helping me to experience new ideas for who i want to be and what i want to do? if i choose this experience, is it for this now moment or is it for creating the life that i want to live through growth?

when you are making decisions are you making the decision for what’s important to you? are you making the decision for what you want? are you making the decision for the person you want to be? are you making the decision to experience new ideas for new knowledge, new awareness and growth?

enjoy the journey! experience your life fully expanding your awareness, being and enjoying new experiences.

are you happy and harmonious during your day to day activities? week to week are you happy with the activities that you are doing? is your attitude and energy mostly positive or mostly negative?

to enjoy the journey is to do the things that make you happy. what do you enjoy doing? what’s most important to you? who do you want to be? what do you want to do?

don’t worry about what other people may think, don’t worry about making others happy. make yourself happy and do the things that are most important to you.

to enjoy the journey is to choose who to be and do what is most important to you. you chose to do this thing, be grateful that you are now doing it.

everyday we make choices; from the moment we wake to the moment we sleep. to enjoy the journey and live with enthusiasm be grateful for all the moments you are choosing.

what do you enjoy doing? what do you do that makes you smile? what do you do that you forget what time it is? what do you jump out of bed for in the morning because you are doing this thing?

this is your passion. are you taking time every day to do it?

it doesn’t matter if others don’t understand why you enjoy it so much, or why you want it so much. it is yours, your passion. so go ahead, set aside time today and do what you are passionate about!

do you ever get caught up in want, want want?

i know that i do. i want to be more, i want to do more, i want to experience more.

it is good to want. wanting to be more, wanting bigger, wanting more leads to growth and expansion. growth and expansion to be more and experience more of what you want is good.

i get too focused on wanting sometimes, and forget to celebrate. i get so caught up in the wanting that i don’t see where i am. i am not living in the present moment. i am not enjoying the journey.

it is good to be aware of where you currently are now, in the now moment. who are you being that you were not a year ago? what are doing that you were not doing a month ago? what are you experiencing that you were not experiencing last week?

celebrate where you are now! you are more than you were yesterday, last week, last month and last year. we get focused on our new want, want, want that we forget where we started from, how we have grown and expanded. when we connect the growth, we become aware of who we are in the NOW moment. we are able to enjoy our journey and not get lost in the want, want, want. celebrate your growth and expansion. celebrate who you are and who you want to be.

what do you really want?

have you ever been frustrated because a situation was not going how you want it to go?

you know, you are with a group of people, and it’s just not going the way that you want it to go. i mean, everybody should know that it’s supposed to happen exactly in this one way, your way. how could there be any other way than the way that you want it? and your just getting annoyed and frustrated because it’s not what you want. people aren’t acting according to what you want!

i have these moments. oh boy, i can get so frustrated that my body is tight and tense and i just want to scream and make it happen my way, and there just isn’t any way for me to do that!

I have learned, by some wonderful grace, to step back and look at the bigger picture. i will ask myself, “what do i really want?”

i am able to realize that the situation that i am trying to control is a small piece of the whole adventure of life, and although it may be something that should get done, in the whole picture of life – it’s not what’s most important!

my shoulders relax, my breathe deepens, and i am open to gratitude! i become grateful for this moment, in this moment i am connected to what i want, and what i want is to enjoy my life journey filled with amazing deep rich relationships. and that is what’s happening!

i am determined to learn and grow from my failures.

failure if you allow it is a teacher. a stepping stone along your journey.

failure if you allow it gives new energy and enthusiasm to create what you want. it gives renewed determination and a burning desire to succeed!

I do not know how to get all that I want right now.

I know that I don’t need to know how, the Universe will guide me.

how do I let go and allow the Universe to guide me to all that I want?

you can choose to be aware and choose positive, choose a positive attitude and choose what is most important to you (sometimes this means saying ‘no’ so that you can say ‘yes’ to what’s most important).
