smile. breathe.

at this moment, i’m happy. smiling.

i have so much to smile and be happy about! my sweet kiddos, in the moment, enjoying life. they teach me so much (that’s for another time).

just moments ago i was frustrated, overwhelmed, feeling the stress that i put onto myself. i consistently plan too much in my days. and today is one of those days, i know this and i was coming “to terms” with what i won’t be getting to today in a not so graceful way.

enter my sweet kids, their energy and being in the moment…

now, i’m smiling and breathing peacefully. i’m going to go outside for a walk like i planned (and then un-planned). i will admit that it won’t be as long a walk as i want it to be though, still, i’m putting me first (this is for another time too).

be in the moment! choose what makes you happy and smile. choose what makes the rise of your shoulders release and feel the tension ease out.

smile! breathe!

live your truth!

what do you enjoy?

i love sitting on my steps and seeing green! trees and green beyond. sunshine shining, reflecting, dancing, shimmering and glittering on the leaves. listening to twittering birds and insects hums. i love nature and sitting outside and getting immersed in it.

what do you enjoy?

what gives you peace?

what makes you happy?

enjoy that today.

dreams and goals

live your life pursuing your dreams and goals, by your values and beliefs.

“The only person who succeeds is the person who is progressively realizing a worthy ideal. He’s the person who says, “I’m going to become this…” and begins working towards that goal.” ~Earl Nightingale

I want you to live a happy and successful life.

  • what makes you happy?
  • what does success mean to you?
  • what is most important to you?
  • how do you want to live your life?

Have you taken time to think about yourself? Do you know your values? What makes you happy? What do you want to do? What do you want to experience? What do you want to give?

In life, we are responsible for ourselves. You are the only person to make yourself happy.

Living My Truth

I used to live my life without knowing my values. I wasn’t living my truth. I was going in all different directions than the direction that I wanted to go.

I was going around in circles in my life. Not being who I wanted to be (always holding myself back to please someone else), not doing what I wanted to do, not experiencing what I wanted to experience.

I wasn’t living by my values, and I didn’t know where I was or where exactly I wanted to go. I made decisions based on what was expected of me, or what I thought was expected of me.

I lived my life waiting for life to happen to me. Often living for the days end and tomorrows beginning.

I made excuses for why I wasn’t being who I wanted to be, doing what I wanted to do, or experiencing what I wanted to experience.

I was doing less and less of what I enjoyed. More and more I was feeling worry, doubt, fear, anxiety, stress or overwhelm.

I gradually realized that I wasn’t living by my values. I had a vague idea of what my values were. I clarified my values and defined my values. I started growing in the direction that I wanted, no more going around in circles.

I started being who I want to be, doing what I want to do, and experiencing what I wanted to experience.

Today I am happy and harmonious with my mind at peace with my heart. I wake with enthusiasm, energy and excitement to play and experience a new day. I enjoy the journey of living a fulfilling life.

I go to sleep feeling filled with joy and gratitude for the day and for my life journey. I am excited and enthusiastic to create the life of my dreams.

I am a different person, I took control of my life. I took responsibility for who I wanted to be, what I wanted to do, what I wanted to experience and how I wanted to feel.

I stopped conforming and started creating the life that I want to live. I started living by my values. I knew where I was and where I wanted to go.

I am no longer living to survive the day, waiting for life to happen to me, waiting for the days end and tomorrows beginning. I am no longer going around in circles.

I am enjoying the twists and turns, the rapids and smooth waters, and all the stops along the way of my life journey. I am living my truth!

Live Your Truth!

grumbling or grateful

There is much I could worry, doubt, or be anxious about.

I am so happy and grateful!

I am happy to be experiencing life! Living my truth!

Are you down? Are you judging yourself? I was. Then I realized that I can choose gratitude.

You can choose gratitude!

There are many things to be grateful for. Sometimes what we are grateful for seems small, but there are big things in your life to be grateful for too.

Sometimes experiences seem negative, but they are the beginning of something amazing and positive.

How often are those small things not the small things, but the things that matter most in our life?

What experiences have brought you joy, love, energy and enthusiasm?

What matters most in your life?

Live Your Truth!

Overwhelmed? Stressed?

Are you tossing and turning, not getting the sleep you need at night? Are you impatient and crabby with the people close to you? Are you wondering “How am I going to make it through the Holiday Season?”

Feeling overwhelm and stress is the effect of not being in the present moment. Feeling overwhelm and stress is the effect of looking at the WHOLE picture instead of one piece or one area at a time. Feeling overwhelm and stress is the effect of over planning your time.

It is so easy to not be in the present moment. We try to cram doing many things in a time that is insufficient or try doing many things all at one time. When we over plan our days, our time, we easily get distracted by looking at the whole picture rather than looking at each of the pieces in turn.

This week I overwhelmed myself by over planning my days. I had my to-do list, with too many tasks and activities to possibly get done in one day. I want it all, I wrote it all on my list, and I got overwhelmed trying to actually do it all.

I got crabby, impatient, demanding, I wanted things done my way. I wanted things done right NOW, and I got irritable.

Do you ever feel that way?

You can be in present moment awareness. You can feel happy, dynamic and capable!

One. – Breathe – take a deep breathe, take another deep breathe. Feel your chest expand and loosen, feel your body relax. Take a deep breathe.

Two. – Think about what it is that you really want. Think about what is important to you. Is it the same as what you are trying to do or trying to be?

Three. – Let go what you need to let go, and allow what you need to allow.

I needed to let go of my expectations of time for those around me and allow them to be in the moment how they wanted to. I needed to let go of my wanting everything all at once, and allow myself to feel gratitude for all that is.

What can you let go off today to release overwhelm and stress?

What can you allow today to feel happy, dynamic and capable?
