mid-life what?

my mind was wandering around what it is that i want to experience in life. i’m ready for a big change, something more, something more fulfilling, something purpose filled.

a mid-life transformation. i would call these questions and the changes that i want to make a mid-life transformation. or maybe with how fast our world changes today, i can label it a transformation, clean and simple.

transformation, a time that you really connect to who you are and live your truth being who you want to be, doing what you want to do and experiencing what you want to experience.

a time when you are digging deep and connecting to your inner most dreams and desires. a time that you find your purpose and passion for living your life.

a time of finding what your internal compass is. what are you values? what’s most important to you? do you let your values and what’s most important to you guide you?

what experiences do you want to have?

why do you want to have that experience?

how do you want to feel in that experience?

is that what you are living?

is that what you are choosing?

life changes. life changes slow, life changes fast. have you changed with life? are you doing what you want to do and experience? are you living your truth?

do my best

I want a lot. I like a lot. I want more and more.

I want things for all areas of my life; health and wellbeing, intellectual and personal growth, family, God/spiritual, relationships and recreation, business/career, financial and giving back.

I am not able to do all that I want in all areas of my life every day. That is why it is important to me to be aware of what is most important to me in the present moment. When I know what is most important to me I am able to choose what to focus on.

When I know what I want to focus on I can do my best. Doing my best today can be different from what my best was yesterday or what my best will be tomorrow. But with all that I want in my life all that I can do is do my best.

My challenge is that when I realize and am aware of what I want, I want it as soon as possible. Doing my best is doing what I can with where I am in my life. And I don’t always feel it, but it is good that I do not get all that I want right away.

The growth and expansion that comes from the actions and challenges of getting what I want is more important than achieving the want. The journey is full of meaning, full of growth and the journey is what brings transformation and new wants, expanded wants or wants that determine you do not want a particular want anymore.

Are you doing your best? Do your best today, do your best tomorrow, and you will experience your own growth and transformation!

i love books!

i love reading, studying, learning. i love novels, personal growth, biographies, wellbeing, nature, and so many more.

i can get lost in a book, captivated and curious. what’s going to happen next? what new information am i going to read and learn that will help me to become a better me? what am i going to read in the next page, the next chapter, the next book that’s going to help me to grow and expand?

books

books have given me so much, i am who i am today because of the books that i have read. i have many books – some books i’ve read multiple times, i have a stack of books yet to read. i have books that i have read just a bit and set aside, i have books that i read a little from every day.

many books have been very significant in my life for my growth and expansion, being the best me, and in transforming me and my life.

you are – I am

it’s amazing how much you can learn about yourself when you’re thinking about someone else qualities and characteristics. what quirks that they have, what their natural behaviors are. what habits they have.

i have studied a person because there is a quality that they have, and I want to grow and expand the same quality in myself. what else are they doing in the same moment they are displaying the quality? are they responding to someone or a situation? what energy are they sending out?

i have also seen qualities in people that i don’t like. sometimes those qualities and behaviors jump out at you in a situation and can’t get it out of your mind. these are qualities to study and learn from too. ask yourself the same questions, and then follow up asking the same questions about you and the quality or behavior you don’t like.

so many times the irritating qualities that i have seen in others are irritating to me because it is a characteristic of myself that I don’t like and want to change or eliminate. it can be easier to identify negative characteristics in others before being able to identify them in our own self.

studying people with qualities and characteristics we like, we learn what we can do to expand and grow. learning about the qualities and characteristics we don’t like, we learn to identify what we can do to change those same qualities and characteristics in ourselves to a positive quality or characteristic.

studying positive qualities and characteristics and growing and expanding a positive quality we be who we want to be. learning about a negative quality or characteristic and changing what we don’t like in our behaviors allows us to grow and expand to be who we want to be.

Spiraling Up

Growth and transformation are ever spiraling upwards. The goals that we create for ourselves, the visions we build and imagine for ourselves guide us to take action in becoming who we want to become, in doing what we want to do and in experiencing what we want to experience.

Our vision that we continue to make clear from our dreams and desires determines the goals that we have in our lives. Our goals and visions for our present moment, for the life that we want to live. As we do and be what our goals determine us to do and be we create the life that we want to live. As we live the life that we have imagined, our vision expands and grows. An expanding vision creates new and expanded goals. As we do and be what our new and expanded goals guide us to do and be, we create the new life that we want to live. As we live the new life that we have imagined, our vision expands and grows again, we create more new and expanding goals. We grow continually, ever spiraling upwards.

I received an inspiration in the form of a question that transformed my life immediately and will continue to do so. I was listening to Joel Osteen, the question was; ‘Would I choose to do this if I knew I would die next week?’

Wow! That is a very powerful question! An inspiration that is life changing!

I started wondering how much importance I was putting on activities and things that aren’t actually very important to me. I started thinking about responsibility, that I am responsible for my life. I choose what I want to do and when I want to do it. It is up to me to make the choices that create my happiness and living life fully. It is up to me to grow and become the vision I have of myself. It is up to me to make the choices that allow me to be successful and achieve my life goals.

I have got this type of message before, but this day it was powerful and inspirational, and is transforming my life. The inspiration is what I need in my life right now so that I am doing what I want to do, taking responsibility for my life and the choices that I make so that I am being who I want to be, doing what I want to do and living how I want to live right now! That I am creating the life that I want to live right now!

Am I making the choices that I want to live my truth? To be who I want to be? To do what I want to do? To live how I want to live? Am I creating the life that I want to live? I am more today than I was yesterday, because now I ask myself, ‘would I choose to do this if I knew that I was going to die next week?’
